Welcome Bri!

LHCOS Local Representative

LHCOS is thrilled to announce another Local Representative joining the team from New York! Welcome Brianna Schmidt!

Hey guys, I’m Bri. I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. My entire life I’ve loved animals. Growing up, I always had a ton of pets from dogs and snakes to fish and birds. My childhood pet bird is now 25 years old! I’ve loved crustaceans as long as I can remember. I would spend hours outside at my local creek catching crayfish to bring home and show my family. When I moved out of my parent’s house a few years ago, I decided to start my own little zoo. I purchased my first hermit crabs 3 years ago equipped with only the information they gave me at the pet store and a small kritter keeper. Of course that was all wrong lol. After joining LHCOS and learning about how fascinating hermits are, I fell in love. One of my favorite things about owning hermits is feeding them. I love making them gourmet meals! My long term goals for crabbing are to captive breed hermits so we don’t have to steal them for their natural habitats anymore.
