The Land Hermit Crab Owners Society (LHCOS) is excited to announce that photo submissions are officially open for our 2026 Hermit Crab Calendar Fundraiser! Each year, hermit crab lovers from around the world share their most stunning, adorable, and creative photos of their Coenobita land hermit crabs—and your submissions help us create a beautiful calendar that supports our nonprofit mission of education, advocacy, and conservation.
Whether you’re a longtime contributor or submitting for the first time, we can’t wait to see your shell babies featured in the next edition!
How to Submit Your Photos
To ensure the highest print quality, please follow the submission guidelines carefully. Photos that do not meet the criteria may not be eligible for selection.
✔ Orientation Requirement
- Landscape orientation only
(Calendar layout requires horizontal images.)
✔ Required Photo Dimensions
- Best quality: 3375 × 2625 px
- Minimum: 1688 × 1313 px
Higher-resolution images greatly increase your chances of being selected!
✔ Filename Format
Before uploading, rename your photo(s) to include your full name.
This helps us accurately credit you in the calendar if your image is chosen.
